In White Umbrella, Arie Azene captures a tranquil moment on a Mediterranean beach with clarity and poetic restraint. Two empty chairs sit beneath a wide white umbrella, facing the gentle waves and sunlit sea—inviting the viewer into a scene of peaceful reflection and timeless stillness.
Departing from his more abstract work, this piece embraces realism while retaining Azene’s signature sensitivity to atmosphere and compositional balance. The harmonious palette of muted blues, warm sand, and soft shadows evokes both presence and absence—a quiet meditation on place and memory.
